Hermitage San Miguel de Foces, National Monument since 1916

Two kilometers from Ibieca is the Church of San Miguel, the only vestige of the Foces, ancient village manor belonging to the family of the same name.
It was ordered built by Ximeno of gorges in 1249 with the intention of using it as a family vault.
In 1259 he donated to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
Situated in the transition period from Romanesque to Gothic. It was declared a National Monument in 1916.
Is currently undergoing restoration.
