ANUNCIO relativo a la aprobación inicial del escudo heráldico y bandera de la localidad.
Aprobado por el Pleno del Ayuntamiento en S. O. del 3/2/2000:
De plata, cruz flordelisada de gules,que son las insignias de Santiago; Partida de oro con los cuatro bastones de gules, que es Aragón; cortado de oro con tres fajas de azur, que es Bardaxi. Al timbre corona real de los Señores de Alacón que son de 1813 los diferentes soberanos españoles desde Fernando VII hasta su Majestad don Juan Carlos I.
Constituida por un lienzo de plata o blanco, en cuyo centro aparece la Cruz de Santiago, como soporte del escudo de los Bardaxi.
Dicha bandera irá ribeteada de un fleco de oro siendo sus medidas habituales las de 2,5 m. de largo por 2 m. de ancho. El ástil o asta de la bandera será de metal dorado superado de una lanza de lo mismo, a la cual podrá añadirse una corbata de seda con los colores oro y rojo de la bandera aragonesa.
