From the 1593 m of the Peñas de Herrera to the Batán waterfalls, nature lovers can enjoy an almost virgin territory.

Hiking and Mountain Biking

The Aragonese Mountain Federation has marked a series of walking trails, most of which can also be done by bicycle or horseback.
Long Distance Path 90 1st and 2nd phase: towards the north they allow you to reach the Moncayo Natural Park.

Short Distance Trails: there are five trails starting and ending in Calcena: PR 4 and 5 link with the GR 90 1st phase in the Valdeplata ravine. PRs 6, 7 and 8 make circular routes through pine forests, oak forests and oak forests.

These itineraries allow you to enjoy beautiful and unknown places a few km from Zaragoza.

Climbing

500 meters from the town center is the gorge through which the Oseja road runs. There are at least 13 climbing routes published in different guides. At the base there is the Ujosa Fountain and a rest area with tables.
You should not climb the other rocks as there is a large colony of vultures.

Caving

Inside the Calcena massifs, water has created wonders.
There are at least four caves surveyed by the Aragonese Speleology Federation: Honda, Hermosa, Las Grajas and Ajo y Agua.
