Aragon in English > Activities > Cuisine
Aragonese fruit, fresh or in its industrial derivatives, has a privileged position, probably the consequence of the confluence of a borderline climatic situation, in which day-night thermal jumps are important, with high insolation. If to this we add the tradition and the taste for a job well done by our fruit growers and industrialists, we have the key to that quality mark that the fruit of Aragon walks through the markets that know it.
We must also highlight the coexistence in our fruit growing of traditional techniques with the most innovative methods. Thus, alongside ancestral varieties, such as the Green Maiden apple, the Rome pear or the Calanda Yellow Peach, the most modern varieties produced by world genetics coexist. The traditional bagging of the peach tree is combined with the actions of the recent Associations of Integrated Treatments in Fruit Growing, which provide an important ecological approach to our productions. Nor can we forget the whole series of artisan and industrial products derived from our fruit production: dried apricots, jellies, jams, pulp juices, dehydrated, creams and jams are, among others, products that spread the motto ARAGON QUALITY
