This cozy municipality is located SE of the province of Teruel, in the Sierra de Javalambre, bordering Valencia and Cuenca.
Its urban area is located at 1000 meters high and the mountain landscapes that surround it reach 2000 meters.
It has a warm and pleasant summer and the winter is dry and not excessively rigorous thanks to the surrounding mountains.
The environment of Arcos, richly defined by water, has an extensive network of forest roads with abundant sources, many of them medicinal.
When looking at the town, the tower of the 18th century church of the Immaculate stands out in Baroque style, declared a national artistic monument.
The portals of La Catarra, Teruel and El Portillo, which guard the urban area.
Las Salinas (18th century) is a source of salt water, which was extracted by a Ferris wheel, in order to keep in ponds in winter and evaporate in summer.
The municipality has one of the most important botanical treasures in Europe of its kind. La Sabina Albar, located in the village of "Las Dueñas", with almost 7 meters of trunk perimeter and 12 meters high.
The river Arcos is born in the municipality.
In 1906 it had 2000 inhabitants and seven water mills, but today it is smaller.
In Arcos de la Salina the main activity is livestock, also agriculture and a trout and salmon farm located at the foot of the Sierra de Javalambre.
The recently created "Asociación Cultural la Sabina" is in charge of energizing this beautiful municipality.

With the arrival of spring, the pilgrimages to the hermitage of San Juan, Santa Quiteria, and San Salvador begin, where the caridaderos give all those attending the procession of the saint with a typical muffin.
