The municipality covers an area of 166,2 Km2.
This town is at a distance of 41 Km from Teruel.
Located at an altitude of 1035 m.
In 1996 had a population of 1.346 inhabitants.

Mora de Rubielos

It has a castle located on top of a hill in the Sierra de Gúdar. Its exterior is military, severe and quite closed. It occupies 4,000 m2. His style is 13th century Gothic.
With an irregular quadrilateral shaped plant, its four facades are different, as are the four towers. The distribution is the usual one in the stately fortresses: rooms around an open courtyard, which has a porticoed structure. One of the towers serves as a gateway and another served as a dungeon.
The open courtyard, quite extensive, has a claustral appearance, formed by pointed arches supported by octagonal columns.
In the halls there are only a few old doors and windows and remains of tiles.

Representations organized under the cultural program of the Diputación General de Aragón and the Diputación Provincial de Teruel take place during the months of July and August.

In addition to the castle it is advisable to visit the Ex-Collegiate Church of Santa María, Gothic of the fifteenth century, the walls and the hermitages of La Dolorosa, Loreto and San Roque, of the seventeenth century.

In its surroundings, there are beautiful landscapes and important prehistoric sites.
