Aragon > Zaragoza

The province of Zaragoza is located at the crossroads that lead from the Cantabrian to the Mediterranean and from it to the Plateau. It occupies the central strip of Aragon having - in addition to the natural contacts with the provinces of Huesca and Teruel - limits with the Navarrese, Riojan lands, Castilian (Soria and Guadalajara) and Catalan (Lleida and Tarragona).
Its 17,194 square kilometers form a triangle whose vertices border the Pyrenees, to the north; the Iberian Sierras with the Moncayo, to the west and the coastal-Catalan mountain range, to the east.
The Ebro river cuts its surface as a hinge on which a good part of the provincial activity is articulated. This is substantially prolonged, through the channels of its tributaries: Arba, Gállego, and Cinca on the left and Queiles, Huecha, Jalón, Huerva, Aguas, Martin, Guadalope and Matarraña on the right.
