Francisco de Goya y Lucientes was born on March 30, 1746 in Fuendetodos (Zaragoza).

In 1913, the artist Ignacio Zuloaga visited the town accompanied by a group of friends to discover a commemorative headstone sculpted by Dionisio Lasuen.

In 1916, the painter Ignacio Zuloaga acquires the birthplace of Goya. On October 8, 1917, the installation of the Goya House Museum, financed by the Basque painter, took place in Fuendetodos.

In 1920 a bust of Goya realized by the sculptor Julio Antonio was discovered in the square of the church.
Located in the lower part of Fuendetodos, at number 15 on Calle de la Alhondiga, this house belonged to the family of Goya's mother. The house decorated with reproductions of Goya works and selected ceramics was sacked at the beginning of the Civil War.

In 1982 it reached the category of Historical Artistic Monument, in the month of April 1989 the Goya Engraving Museum was inaugurated in Fuendetodos: Los Caprichos (4th edition of 1863) and the Disasters of War (the 1863 edition).
This museum can be visited in winter from 11 am to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm, in summer from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm (Mondays are closed for weekly rest). Telephone 976143830.

The square that faces its main facade has been completed with another Goya bust, work by the Teruel sculptor Gonzalvo inaugurated on April 16, 1978 to mark the 150th anniversary of the painter's death in Bordeaux.
