Situation:

al O. de Zaragoza por ctra. N-II y desvío a 8 km por ctra. local, en dirección a Morata de Jalón, en la sierra de Tablado.

Celebrations:

San José, 19 de marzo;
Corpus Christi, y día siguiente;
Romería a San Cristóbal, junio;
Virgen del Rosario y Santa Constancia, primer domingo de agosto;
y Santa Úrsula, 21 de octubre.

Calcena : La cara oculta del Moncayo.

Calcena es una villa de unos 105 habitantes que dista 100 km de Zaragoza y 22 km de Illueca, cabecera de comarca. Rodeada de montañas se situa en la vertiente sur del Somontano del Moncayo a 836 m. de altura, en el valle del río Isuela. El casco urbano se encarama desde la orilla izquierda de dicho río hacia las cumbres de San José y Santa Bárbara. La huerta ocupa la parte baja del valle.
Las tradicionalmente malas comunicaciones han permitido conservar el sabor tradicional del casco urbano y la belleza de su entorno natural.

Albergue de Calcena: ocupa una antigua casa cuartel.
Su restauración ha conseguido un edificio en el que se han suprimido las barreras arquitectónicas. Está situado en las afueras del pueblo.
Tiene capacidad para 60 personas y dispone de habitaciones colectivas y dobles.
Cuenta con un servicio de comidas, talleres, patio interior, duchas, agua caliente, calefacción, lavadero, cocina y aparcamiento.
Además cuenta con monitores-guías titulados que ayudan a descubrir los encantos naturales.

Bar-Local Social. Tienda con alimentos y todo tipo de artículos de primera necesidad.

En 1997 el Ayuntamiento de Calcena inició la construcción de unas completas instalaciones deportivas que se espera funcionen en 1998.

Fiestas

Las fiestas patronales se celebran en honor de la Virgen del Rosario y Santa Constancia el primer fin de semana de Agosto.

El 13 de Diciembre es el día de Santa Lucía que se celebra el sábado más próximo a dicha fecha con una gran hoguera en la plaza.
